These clip on octagonal shaped earrings were popular style of jewelry produced in Thailand, particularly from the 1930s through the 1970s.
Material: They are crafted from sterling silver (.925).
Technique: The black background is created using niello, a mixture of metals (copper, silver, lead) used as an inlay on engraved silver.
Motif: The figure depicted is typically a traditional Thai deity or dancer, such as the goddess Mekhala.
The earrings are marked SENA and Sterling on the backs.
